Summa Cum Laude
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Rowan University, where I direct the Research Laboratory for Advanced Cyber Systems and Usable Security (ACSUS Lab). I am also the Program Coordinator of the Ph.D. in Computer Science at Rowan.
My research works toward a secure and reliable cyberspace through transactional cyber systems (TxCy): systems that divide complex workflows into atomic transactions with verifiable boundaries and concurrency control. I study TxCy as a whole through transaction processing, implementation, distribution, and security (PIDS). My work has four directions: self-sovereign digital identities (SSDI), usability and human-TxCy interaction, declarative and constraint-defined transactions, and the Open Transaction Interoperability Protocol (OTIP), which my students and I are implementing as TxCyOS.
My research is supported by the National Science Foundation through the CRII award #2348344, A Framework for Usable Self-Sovereign Digital Identities. I represent the Rowan Computer Science Department in the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF).
Prospective students: I work with Ph.D., M.S., and undergraduate students at Rowan. Undergraduates can start through CS Research I and CS Research II, where student teams write and submit real research papers to peer-reviewed venues.
Coming in Spring 2027: CS 99700 "Research Methods" (graduate), cross-listed with a 3-credit CS Research I.
